A dreamy album cover project combining photography, neon colours and surreal elements to create a mysterious visual atmosphere.
Created during a Photoshop assignment at KISP Mariakerke, this fictional album cover was inspired by the visual style of Wallen Diaz and reinterprets Madame Butterfly through a contemporary, highly stylised lens. The project explores the contrast between softness and intensity, blending romantic symbolism with a darker and more mysterious atmosphere.
The emotional atmosphere of Madame Butterfly inspired me to create a visual world filled with glowing butterflies, saturated colours and dreamlike compositions that feel both romantic and mysterious.

What attracts me most in Wallen Diaz’s work is the contrast between boldness and mystery. His strong 1980s inspired aesthetics, experimental typography and hypnotic colour palettes strongly connect with my own artistic style.
Using digital collage techniques, glowing effects and layered compositions in Photoshop, I created visuals that balance soft femininity with surreal neon aesthetics and a darker cinematic atmosphere.
